Fresh Local Produce, Delivered to Your Door

July 21, 2015 By Philip Leave a Comment

Fresh Local ProduceOne of my current goals is to eat more fruits and vegetables.  I’m trying to do this by making sure I eat a serving at every meal.  This goal just got a lot easier for me.

Bonita Clemons is a co-op farmer who is delivering fresh, local produce from small, local farms to homes and offices in the Columbia area.  For just $20, she delivers a box of produce to you every Friday.  You can see my first delivery here – a huge watermelon, tomatoes, plums, peaches, okra, kale, potatoes –  a cornucopia of local produce!

Because of the different produce here, it’s made me step outside of my comfort zone and try new recipes.  This past Sunday we hosted someone for lunch, and I made a lettuce, arugula, and plum salad.

If you’re interested in signing up for the service, email Bonita at bonitaclemons@gmail.com, and tell her Philip sent you!

I've always hated exercise and getting on the floor, out of the question. Eight weeks ago, I didn't know what to expect or if I could successfully do the program. Philip was so patient with me and trained me at a level that I could sustain. I have never been excited about working out. I actually began to look forward to working out with him. At the end of the eight weeks, I feel stronger, I have more energy, and my sleep has improved. I'm even down seven pounds. I was so pleased with the results that I signed up for an additional eight weeks. Thanks Philip!  (Individual results may vary)
