Playground Fitness!

Guess where my next workout's going to be? #philiplooneyfit | June 25, 2016 at 05:41PM

While the temperatures here in Columbia have been over 100 degrees everyday for the last couple of weeks, it’s still just too nice outside to stay indoors for every workout.  There’s something mentally and physically invigorating to taking your workout outdoors to your local park or playground.

The great news for us in Columbia is that the Columbia Riverfront Park just added this Fitness Zone with lots of body weight machines that you can use to get a full body workout.  Hands down, this outdoor gym will have the best view in town, since it’s all overlooking the historic Columbia Canal.  Even if you need to use an elliptical because you’re getting over injury, guess what?  They have one.  I encourage everyone to get out there and check it out.

That said, if you don’t have a nice outdoor gym like this one locally, you can still get in a great workout on the playground.  Fix.com recently published this great full body workout that you can do at just about any playground.  Check out the infographic below for the full workout!
