In case you haven't heard of The November Project, it's an "open source" fitness program featured in a lot of major cities around the US, built around the idea of a group of people getting together in open spaces to workout together, while cheering and motivating one another on. They have been featured in a series of article on NPR that caught my eye, which provides a playground workout for every level of fitness. How to fit in a 30 Minute Workout over the Holiday
During holiday weekends, you might find yourself out of town, or find that your gym is closed for the holidays. This doesn't mean that you can't still get a great workout in! You can still get a great workout in just using body weight exercises done in high intensity rounds; meaning you can do them just about anywhere - like your local park. Below is an example of a Cross Fit work out called "Barbara." It consists of 5 rounds of the circuit listed below all done with just you body weight, with a 3 minute break in between. Three minutes of rest might seem like a long time, but you need it. In Cross Fit terms, "Rx" is the prescribed reps, with scaled down versions from there.
